Large cap stocks are stocks of those companies that have the highest market capitalization. All the stocks can be classified to large cap, mid cap and small cap (if ignoring modern classifications that include more classes). There is no one united classification boundaries what company’s stock should be assigned to large cap, but to be called large cap stock, market capitalization should reach billions of USD or EUR.
Large cap stocks are the biggest companies known by most investors. They are more stable, more predictable investments of the highest standards, but everybody invest in such companies and they can’t be a big discovery.
