Opex

 

Opex (operating expense) are expenses of the business and are related to the operational activity of the company. 

Basically, every company has few types of expenses:

  • COGS (cost of sales) include costs that are directly related to production.
  • Operating expenses are those expenses are not directly related to manufacturing. Operating expenses usually are overhead expenses, marketing expenses, office maintenance expenses and similar. 
  • Financial expenses are interest for financial debt or expenses for other financial activity.
  • Taxes.
